Whether you’re looking to increase your daily protein intake or want to support your gut health, this delicious blend can help you. Grass-fed, collagen-based protein with a full amino acid profile to support gut barrier function† When I custom formulated my Vanilla Bean Paleo Protein, I spent months at the drawing board perfecting it to ensure that it had the absolute perfect balance of vanilla bean, and just the right amount of natural sweetness. This delicious and decadent flavor is inspired by summer afternoons and evenings enjoying vanilla ice cream with my dad when I was just a little girl. How It Works Contains collagen peptides to help support gut barrier function† . Features 21g of high-quality protein per serving. Sourced from grass-fed, pasture-raised bovine, this offering is hydrolyzed for enhanced absorption and easier mixing. Who It’s For Paleo Protein is essential for those who are invested in supporting their gut health with a formula that enhances absorption, easily and effectively.† Key Ingredients: Bovine Collagen Peptides - Collagen is full of amino acids and peptides that help maintain and support healthy hair, skin, nails, joints, and gut health.† FAQs What is Vanilla Bean Paleo Protein made of? Paleo Protein is made from hydrolyzed bovine collagen that comes from happy, pasture-raised cows that graze on fresh green fields in the sunshine. These animals are raised with love and care and are never given unnecessary drugs such as antibiotics, arsenic-based growth promoters, or hormones. They are grass-fed and never fed GMOs, such as genetically modified corn and soy meal. What time of day should I take Vanilla Bean Paleo Protein? Paleo Protein is perfect any time of the day. While Dr. Myers likes it in her morning smoothies, you can enjoy it at all times of the day. Whether you’re mixing it into your morning coffee or into shakes for dessert for a flavorful protein boost, you’ll find that it’s great around the clock. Is Vanilla Paleo Protein safe for pregnant women, breastfeeding mothers, and children? While many moms and dads tell me they give Paleo Protein to their kids, I always recommend speaking with your child’s pediatrician or nutritionist if you have concerns about any of the ingredients or adjusting the dosing for them. And, as always, I recommend reaching out to your physician, midwife, or other qualified healthcare practitioner if you have any concerns before using it while pregnant or breastfeeding. Is Vanilla Bean Paleo Protein damaged by heat? All proteins are damaged by high heat to some extent. Proteins are long chains of amino acids bound together. High heat can potentially fold and warp the amino acid chains into new shapes and structures called amines that may be unusable by the body, or even harmful. This is why you should avoid charring or overcooking meat. The proteins and peptides in my Paleo Protein are quite stable at moderately high temps, so adding it to a hot cup of tea or coffee, or baking it at low temps (below 300F) will not denature it too much. Can I take Vanilla Paleo Protein if I’m allergic to tree nuts? Paleo Protein contains MCT oil derived from coconuts. Scientifically speaking, coconuts are not tree nuts—they are in fact fruits classified as a “drupe.” Other drupes include palm fruit, peaches, berries, plums, and apricots. However, because the FDA has lumped coconuts in a group with other tree nuts for labeling purposes, we are required to list them as a potential allergen. In fact, true coconut allergy is actually extremely rare with only a few cases reported in the medical literature. If you have a diagnosed tree nut allergy, please speak with your healthcare provider before consuming any products containing coconut. How come there are fewer scoops in my pouch than the number listed on the label? The listed amount of scoops per pouch is an approximation and can vary based on personal use such as how full you make your scoops, spilling it, how well you scrape out the pouch, etc. While the number listed is an approximation, it shouldn't vary considerably versus what you get. † These statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration.
